The YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County announces its Spring 2018 bike safety class for
adults, “Smart Cycling,” starting on March 14 th and running for three Wednesdays from 5:30 to 8:30pm.
This program is designed for those who have been riding for years as well as those who are just thinking
about getting on (or back on) a bike.
Smart Cycling is the leading national bicycle education curriculum developed by the League of American
Bicyclists and has been tried and tested for over 40 years across the country. It develops the confidence
and competence of bicycle riders at all levels of ability. Students will learn about choosing a bicycle, basic
parts of a bike, essential equipment, as well as how to safely and comfortably ride in various traffic
conditions, terrain and climates.
