Empire State TrailWith a BIG vision for completing a multi-use trail system connecting New York City to Buffalo, bike based tourism, an area of economic development that has been a program area at NYBC for over twenty five years, Governor Cuomo made a great statement in the latest State of The State Message.

“Bravo for the Empire State Trail,” says Paul Winkeller, NYBC’s Executive Director.  “Now let’s make this system even longer – by adding a multi-use path to the Verrazano Bridge ASAP and complete the New York City five borough multi-use path system conceived in the 1990’s, with help from NYBC Founder Ivan Vamos.  After the Verrazano we can take the trail all the way out to the end of Long Island to create an unrivaled end to end of the Empire magnet for world-class bike tourism!”
