NY State Bike Summit
On September 15th, 2017, we will be producing the New York State Bike Summit in Albany at the newly constructed Hearst Media Center! This inaugural Bike Summit will bring together many organizations and constituencies leading the growing bike movement across New York State with the goal of making New York the most bicycle friendly state in the country.
We will convene a diverse constituency of bicycle advocacy organizations, government representatives, trail groups, event leaders, the bicycle industry, transportation and planning professionals, environmental and health agencies, bicycle clubs, retailers, and community bike shops.
All attendees will have the opportunity to interact with the entire span of the bike movement and help shape strategies to implement the shared vision of creating a leading bicycle friendly state.
Regional Bike Meetings
This past year, in 2016, we hosted a series of regional bike meetings across the state in order to bring bike interests of all kinds together (Rochester, Long Island and the Capital Region). We believe there is tremendous synergy created when like-minded folks gather to learn from one another and strategize how to work together to continue growing, improving, and promoting biking.
We believe that it’s time for us all to dial-in and become even more connected with one another so that we can better address our local, regional, and statewide challenges together. These meetings are made possible thanks to key partners like the Rochester Cycling Alliance, C.L.I.M.B., and MHCC.
If you are interested in NYBC coming to your region in the Winter / Early Spring 2017, please get in touch with us now! We would like to come and visit, meet new friends and advocate soldiers and tell you what we are doing to make New York a safer place to bike. Contact us!
